Configuration and read-out can be done locally or remotely through different interfaces of K3000.

By pushing the display button the meter is able to display all billing data even if the main power is absent. Furthermore all register data can be readout by the optical interface.

The meter supports a lot of anti tampering features like terminal cover removal detection, inverse current detection and measurement, partial & complete earthing detection, magnetic field detection. Ultrasonic welding of main cover and base enclosure helps for a more robust manipulation prevention. Stored programs and registers have full tamper and fraud protection. System and hardware designing ensures that energy consumption data is unchangeable. Meter detects terminal cover removal in power cut situation and this capability have no effect on RTC battery life time.

The meter support hardware RTC function, the RTC accuracy is 0.5s/day (IEC61038).

K3000 integrates infrared port. Its speed can support 9600bps; Optional RS485 interface is another port for this meter to provide AMI ready capability if decided. A general purpose interface is available to communicate with PLC-SFSK, GPRS or any kind of communication module.

For load control purposes a 100A relay has been integrated in this meter. Relay can be connected/disconnected by a remote or local command or according to a predefined condition.
